Kevin Kahn is an Intel senior fellow and director of the Communications Technology Lab, an advanced development
and research lab in Intel’s Corporate Technology Group responsible for all communications technologies. Some of
Dr. Kahn’s primary current focus areas are broadband access to the home, wireless LANs and PANs, spectrum policy,
and related Internet issues. Dr. Kahn also coordinates Intel RF technical directions across divisions and chairs the
Intel Communications Research Council, which oversees research activities between Intel and academic programs.
He currently serves on the FCC technological advisory council, the computer science and telecommunications board
of the National Research Council, and on various academic advisory committees. Throughout his 27-year career with
Intel, he has worked in system software development, operating systems, processor architecture, and various strategic
planning roles. He has held both management and senior individual contributor roles. He holds multiple patents in
processor architecture and communications technologies.
Dina Kaplan

Dina Kaplan oversees operations for blip.tv, including media partnerships, advertising and sponsorship deals, public
relations, and marketing. Blip.tv is an online television network focused on featuring, promoting, and monetizing the
best original shows on the web. Before joining blip.tv, Ms. Kaplan was an Emmy award-winning local television news
reporter. Earlier she was an associate producer for MTV News, where she produced stories for MTV’s political Choose
or Lose coverage. Before working in television, she was the director of research for the Office of the White House
Counsel and the assistant to the director of presidential personnel. Ms. Kaplan is a judge for the Webby awards, a
member of the Producers Guild of America, and a director of the Socrates Society at the Aspen Institute; she is also the
founder of the New York Founders Club, a group dedicated to promoting the startup community in New York City.
amit Kapur

Amit Kapur manages global business operations for MySpace; his responsibilities include business development and
strategic partnerships across the website, developer platform, and MySpace Mobile. Mr. Kapur joined MySpace in 2005
as the company’s first business development manager. In this role, he led early growth projects, including development
of the company’s initial globalization strategy and leading deal negotiations with various partners. He was promoted
in 2006 to vice president of business development to drive key business partnerships for MySpace, including the
monetization deal with Google, the strategic product partnership with Skype, and the company’s first music licensing
pact with Sony BMG. Before joining MySpace, Mr. Kapur served the Strategy Group at NBC Universal. He studied
mechanical engineering and advanced thermal systems at Stanford University.
Daniel Kaufmann
Director, Governance and Anti-Corruption
World Bank Institute
Daniel Kaufmann is regarded as a leading expert, researcher, and advisor to countries on governance and
development. With his team, he has pioneered new approaches to analyze country governance as well as survey
methodologies and indicators for good governance and anticorruption programs worldwide. He previously held
positions at the World Bank that included managing a team on finance, regulation, and governance; heading
capacity-building for Latin America; and serving as lead economist both in economies in transition as well as in the
bank’s research department. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum (Davos) faculty. In the early 1990s,
Mr. Kaufmann was the first chief of mission of the World Bank to Ukraine, then was a visiting scholar at Harvard
University before resuming his career at the World Bank. His research on economic development, governance, the
unofficial economy, macro-economics, investment, corruption, privatization, and urban and labor economics has been
published in leading journals.
