Mark Colodny is managing director at Warburg Pincus. He joined the firm in 2001 and focuses on media,
Internet, and information technology investments. He also leads the firm’s West Coast office. Previously,
he served as senior vice president of corporate development at Primedia, where he led the Mergers and
Acquisitions Group. He began his career as a writer at Fortune magazine. Mr. Colodny received an AB degree
from Harvard University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a JD from Harvard Law School. He is a

DENA COOK
Managing Partner, Brew Media Relations
Dena Cook is the managing partner of Brew Media Relations, where she oversees the strategic public relations
and media relations programs for clients that include Zynga, Grockit, One Kings Lane, Sidebar, and Launchpad
LA. Before joining Brew, Ms. Cook served three years at Zeno Group, part of Daniel J. Edelman, where she was
senior vice president and led the technology and wireless practices for the firm’s Los Angeles office with clients
including SIRIUS Satellite Radio, JAMDAT Mobile/EA Mobile, Stamps.com, Medio Systems, and others. Earlier
in her career, Ms. Cook was with Fleishman-Hillard, serving such clients as PlayStation and Nestlé. She also
consulted for several international public relations agencies, including Golin-Harris and MS&L, spearheading
media relations programs for clients ranging that included Nintendo and Nike.
MICHAEL V. COPELAND
Senior Writer, Fortune
Michael Copeland joined Fortune as a senior writer in 2007. He is based out of the magazine’s San Francisco
bureau. Previously, Mr. Copeland was a senior writer at Business 2.0 covering the venture capital community,
new technology, and startups. His story, “The New Instant Companies,” co-written Andrew Tilin, was recognized
by the World Leadership Forum as the best business story in a magazine in the 2006 Business Journalist of the
Year competition. Before joining Business 2.0, Mr. Copeland was a senior writer at Red Herring. He also worked
at the Venture Capital Journal and the Washington Post. He has been a reporter for the Oakland Tribune, Orange
County Register, and Philadelphia Inquirer, and he has freelanced for several San Francisco Bay Area and national
publications. Mr. Copeland has also developed environmental stories for television and radio. He graduated
from the University of Pennsylvania.
DICK COSTOLO
Chief Operating Officer, Twitter
Dick Costolo is responsible for monetization and the day-to-day operations of Twitter’s business. He was
previously co-founder and CEO of FeedBurner, a digital content syndication platform that was acquired by
Google in 2007. At Google, Mr. Costolo was group product manager on the Ads team responsible for social
media ads. Mr. Costolo spent most of the 1990s in Chicago founding and running two other digital media
companies and performing in multiple productions with the acclaimed Annoyance Theater.
