Gerri Elliott is responsible for deepening and developing key partnerships and alliances for Juniper to provide
better value and choice for their customers, and to grow the company’s revenue and market share. From
2004 to 2009, Ms. Elliott was corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Worldwide Public Sector organization,
where she led a team of more than 2,000 sales and marketing professionals serving government, education,
and nonprivatized health care customers in more than 100 countries. In this role, Ms. Elliott improved
customer satisfaction and Microsoft’s image among government elites, grew share across all product lines,
and increased revenues to $8 billion in 2008, from $4.7 billion in 2004. Ms. Elliott joined Microsoft in 2001
after a 22-year tenure at IBM, where she held several senior executive positions in the U.S. and internationally.
Ms. Elliott participates in the Fortune/U.S. State Department Mentoring Partnership. She serves on the board
of SynapticMash, a software-plus-services company, and is an advisory board member of Tririga, a property
management solutions company.

Deputy Managing Editor, TIME Magazine
Michael Elliott, named deputy managing editor of TIME earlier this year, continues his role as editor of TIME
International. Mr. Elliott is also a writer, filmmaker, and former faculty member of Northwestern University, the
University of Warwick, and the London School of Economics. From 1984 to 1993, he was with The Economist as
political editor, and also served as Washington bureau chief and a columnist. Mr. Elliott moved to Newsweek in 1993
and, from 1995 to 2000, was editor of Newsweek International. He has written a column, “Global Agenda,” for TIME
since 2001, became an editor at the magazine in 2004, and was named to his TIME International role the next year.
Mr. Elliott is author or co-author of books including The Day Before Yesterday (1996), and a writer and presenter
of documentary films, including The Clintons (1998); War in Europe (2000); and The Trouble with Corporate America
(2002). A regular TV commentator, especially for CNN International, Mr. Elliott received an OBE award in 2003.
BEN ELOWITZ
Co-founder and CEO, Wetpaint
Ben Elowitz is co-founder and CEO of Wetpaint, a web publisher with an audience of ten million monthly
unique users. Mr. Elowitz is also the author of Digital Quarters, a blog that examines the future of digital media
and publishing. His work has been featured on Huffington Post, TechCrunch, All ThingsD, paidContent.org, and
CNBC.com, and others. Before founding Wetpaint, he co-founded Blue Nile, the largest online retailer of luxury
goods. Before Blue Nile, he was with Fatbrain.com, an early e-commerce company that went public in 1998
and sold to Barnes & Noble in 1999. Mr. Elowitz is an angel investor in a number of media and e-commerce
companies, including ICanHasCheezburger, and a frequent conference speaker on digital media, user-generated content, and entrepreneurship.
JORGE ESPINEL
Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development, Digital Media Group, News Corp.
Jorge Espinel, before assuming his current role at News Corp., was a partner at Velocity Interactive Group
(recently renamed Fuse Capital), a leading digital media investment firm in New York City. Before joining
Velocity, Mr. Espinel was head of AOL’s corporate strategy and M&A. He joined AOL LLC in 2002. During his
tenure, his responsibilities included driving corporate development activities, crafting business strategies,
managing AOL’s key strategic relationships, and leading the M&A team. His team executed the recent
acquisitions of Third Screen Media, Tacoda, Adtech, Yeda, and Quigo. He also played a key role in developing
the turnaround plan for AOL during Jonathan Miller’s tenure as CEO. Early in his career, Mr. Espinel was with
Booz Allen & Hamilton’s premier Media and Entertainment Practice. He specialized in cable and broadcasting,
magazine publishing, and digital media. Mr. Espinal is currently a director of Strands Inc.
