TIM ARMSTRONG
Chairman and CEO, AOL
Tim Armstrong, as chairman and CEO, is responsible for setting strategy and overseeing the businesses and
day-to-day operations of AOL. In 2009, he took the company public with a listing on the New York Stock
Exchange. Before joining AOL that year, Mr. Armstrong was president of the Americas operations at Google,
where he oversaw North American and Latin American advertising sales, marketing, and operations teams, and
worked with some of the world’s most widely recognized brands and advertising agencies. His tenure there
covered the scaled launch of the company’s advertising efforts and defined many of the operating structures
that supported Google’s global expansion. Mr. Armstrong is on the boards of the Interactive Advertising
Bureau, the Advertising Council, and the Advertising Research Foundation.
NIKESH ARORA
President, Global Sales Operations and Business Development, Google, Inc.
Nikesh Arora oversees all revenue and customer operations, as well as marketing and partnerships, at Google.
Since joining the company in 2004, he has held several positions, most recently leading Google’s global direct
sales operations. He also developed and managed the company’s operations in the European, Middle Eastern,
and African markets, and was responsible for creating and expanding strategic partnerships in those regions
for the benefit of Google’s growing number of users and advertisers. Mr. Arora, who has a background as an
analyst, focuses on consulting, IT, marketing, and finance. Before joining Google, he was chief marketing officer
and a member of the management board at T-Mobile. While there, he spearheaded all product development,
terminals, brand, and marketing activities of T-Mobile Europe. In 1999, he started working with Deutsche
Telekom and founded T-Motion PLC, a mobile multimedia subsidiary of T-Mobile International. Before joining
Deutsche Telekom, he held management positions at Putnam Investments and Fidelity Investments in Boston.
IRVING AZOFF
Executive Chairman, Live Nation Entertainment
Chairman and CEO, Front Line Management Group
Irving Azoff heads Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s largest entertainment company, and is chairman
and CEO of the Front Line Management Group, the world’s largest music management firm and an entity he
created in 1974. He is the personal manager of the Eagles (whom he has managed since that time), Christina
Aguilera, Neil Diamond, Van Halen, and Steely Dan. Front Line Management owns interests in, or wholly
owns, 13 other management companies. He also founded Full Moon Records, which served as home to the
soundtracks for Azoff-produced motion pictures and to such artists as Chicago and Dan Fogelberg. Mr. Azoff
was named chairman and CEO of the MCA Music Entertainment Group in 1983; his leadership revitalized the
slumping company into an industry powerhouse. He then founded the Azoff Entertainment Co. in 1990, a joint
venture with Time Warner. Mr. Azoff was named Advertising Age’s 2008 Marketer of the Year and was the 2008
recipient of Pollstar magazine’s Personal Manager of the Year award.
STEVE BACZKO
Senior Commercialization Manager, EcoSecurities
Steve Baczko is responsible for EcoSecurities’ business development and strategic marketing for voluntary and
new markets. Before joining EcoSecurities, Mr. Baczko served the International Finance Corp. (IFC), the private
investment arm of the World Bank. While at the IFC, Mr. Baczko was part of a startup team that launched
the Grassroots Business Initiative, which provided financing, technical assistance, and marketing services to
sustainable enterprises throughout the developing world. Before joining the IFC, Mr. Baczko lived and worked
in Vietnam for a mass market manufacturer of natural fiber products (bamboo and rattan), principally for IKEA.
Mr. Baczko has extensive experience working in the private and NGO sectors in sustainability and market
development, specifically in Southeast Asia. He holds a BA degree from Georgetown University.
