PRADEEP K. KHOSLA

Pradeep Khosla has received several awards, including the ASEE 1999 George Westinghouse Award for
Education, the SiliconIndia Leadership Award for Excellence in Academics and Technology (2000), the W.
Wallace McDowell award from IEEE Computer Society (2001), the Cyber Education Award from the Business
Software Alliance (2007), a lifetime achievement award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
(2009), and the Pan IIT Academic Excellence Award (2009). For his contributions to technology and education
he has been elected a fellow of the IEEE, the American Association of Artificial Intelligence, and the American
Association for Advancement of Science, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering. His research
has resulted in three books and more than 350 articles. He also consults for companies and venture capitalists,
and has served on the technology advisory boards of many startups. Currently he serves on the advisory
boards for iNetworks, ITU Ventures, and Alcoa. He is involved with iNetworks in raising a biotechnology fund
called BioVentures.
RUTH KIRSCHNER
Director, Advertiser Sales, DoubleClick, Google, Inc.
Ruth Kirschner manages the DoubleClick advertiser business for North America, which includes all clients using
DoubleClick’s Buyside Platform: Dart for Advertisers and Doubleclick Rich Media. Ms. Kirschner has served
DoubleClick for seven years and joined Google in the acquisition. Before her tenure with DoubleClick, she held
sales and business development positions across the Internet and technology space, including with AOL, TiVo,
and American Express. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School and resides in San Francisco.
DOUG KNOPPER
Co-founder and Co-CEO, Free Wheel
Doug Knopper currently serves as co-founder and co-CEO of Free Wheel, a video monetization company. Before
founding Free Wheel in 2007, Mr. Knopper served six years as senior vice president and general manager at
DoubleClick in New York and London, where he was responsible for the global ad serving technology group,
and was named one of 50 Online People to Know by Media magazine. Before joining DoubleClick, he was CEO
of Bitpass, a leading company in micropayments technology. Mr. Knopper also served more than a dozen years
at advertising agencies and broadcasting companies, including Lowe and Partners, TBWA/Chiat Day, J. Walter
Thompson, and Bonneville Broadcasting. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA degree with
honors from the University of Michigan.
DAVID KO
Senior Vice President, Americas Region, Audience, Mobile, and Local, Yahoo! Inc.
David Ko oversees Yahoo’s Audience, Mobile, and Local businesses. In this role, he is responsible for the vision,
strategy, and continued innovation of Yahoo’s industry-leading media properties, including Yahoo News, Yahoo
Sports, Yahoo Finance, and the company’s entertainment properties. Mr. Ko also sets the business direction
for Yahoo’s mobile and local initiatives as he drives leadership in developing new ways to reach and engage
consumers and meet the needs of advertisers across PC and mobile. Mr. Ko most recently led Yahoo’s mobile
business globally and successfully grew the company’s partnerships across Asia Pacific to 24, from zero, in 16
months. Mr. Ko joined Yahoo in 2000 and was a key contributor to the distribution strategy of Yahoo products.
Before joining Yahoo, he was with Salomon Smith Barney, where he was responsible for identifying, executing,
and closing deals in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors.
