Deep Nishar is responsible for setting and executing the global product strategy at LinkedIn. He comes to
LinkedIn from Google, where he helped shape the company’s strategy in Asia Pacific. He was also responsible
for building Google’s global mobile business. Mr. Nishar holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he
graduated with highest honors as a Baker Scholar. He also earned an MSEE from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a B. Tech with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Mr. Nishar holds
three patents and was honored with the Google Founders Award, an accolade given to employees who have
made extraordinary contributions to the company, for his work on the Google Ads System Automation.
SHANE NOLAN
Vice President, Content, Consumer, and Clean Tech, IDA Ireland
Shane Nolan, currently vice president of content, consumer, and Clean Tech, is based in IDA Ireland’s Silicon
Valley office in Mountain View, Calif. Mr. Nolan joined IDA in 2003 and has worked with many of the leading
Internet properties as they established strategic operations. Before joining IDA, Mr. Nolan spent a number of
years in both sales and technical roles in the telecommunications industry. He is a graduate of Carlow institute
of Technology and Dublin City University.
BARRY O’LEARY
Chief Executive Officer, IDA Ireland
Barry O’Leary assumed his appointed role as CEO of IDA Ireland in 2008. He has served IDA for more than
30 years in most of its business areas, including two periods totaling 15 years in Germany, most recently
as director of Europe. He has been involved in changing the profile and raising the value of Ireland’s
inward investments over the past ten years. Since his return to Ireland in 2002, he has been primarily
responsible for the successful establishment of the country as the leading global location outside the U.S.
for biopharmaceuticals. He has also undertaken strategic change and built new strengths in R&D, medical
technologies, information and communications technologies, and other areas. Before joining IDA Ireland, Mr.
O’Leary held a number of positions in industrial companies, including Nestlé and the Smurfit Group. He is a
board member of Forfas, Ireland’s national policy advisory body for enterprise and science, and the Digital Hub
Development Agency.
ERIC OPENSHAW
Vice Chairman, Global and U.S. Technology Leader, Deloitte LLP
Eric Openshaw, based on the West Coast, is a principal and vice chairman serving as the global and U.S.
technology leader for Deloitte’s Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications ( TMT) Industry
Group. Mr. Openshaw has more than 30 years of experience assisting clients with enterprise transformation,
business process re-engineering, manufacturing and distribution strategy, technology strategy, merger
and acquisition analysis and post-acquisition consolidation, order fulfillment, supply chain, information
systems strategic planning, technology (hardware and software) evaluation, and design, development, and
implementation of software primarily for discrete and process manufacturing distribution retail and retail
distribution. A frequent public speaker, he also writes articles on technology and operational improvement
for periodicals. Mr. Openshaw received his BA degree from California State University at Fullerton. He has
completed postgraduate work at California Polytechnic University.
