TIM O’SHAUGHNESSY

Tim O’Shaughnessy is the CEO and co-founder of LivingSocial, the social commerce leader behind
LivingSocial Deals and top-ranking Facebook applications “Pick Your Five” and Visual Bookshelf. Before joining
LivingSocial, Mr. O’Shaughnessy led the consumer products team at Revolution Health and managed product
launches at AOL. He graduated from Georgetown University with degrees in marketing and operations and
information management.
K. PADMANABHAN
Vice President and Member, Corporate Technology Board, Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS)
K. Padmanabhan, known as K. Paddy, is an innovative leader and has introduced a number of innovations
at TCS, including many in the quality and tools area. He focuses on technology and its applications, and has
been associated with TCS’ first innovation lab for many years. He is currently responsible for implementing
innovation and technology in the various business units and understanding their innovations needs. While
resolving Y2K issues at TCS, he created India’s first software factory and was responsible for remediating more
than 700 million lines of code. During this time, a number of new tools and techniques were introduced,
and high levels of automation were achieved. Until recently, Mr. Padmanabhan led creation and delivery of
offerings in the insurance vertical. He has been involved with insurance projects for more than 20 years and has
built and grown some of TCS’ key relationships in this area.
FILIPPO PASSERINI
President, Global Business Services, and Chief Information Officer, Procter & Gamble
Filippo Passerini is president of P&G’s Global Business Services (GBS) organization and chief information officer.
Innovative in structure, scope, and philosophy, GBS has saved P&G some $800 million to date. Under Mr.
Passerini’s leadership, the GBS organization has created a business model considered unique and progressive
in the shared services industry. Powered by P&G employees and a network of industry-leading partners, GBS
transforms the way business is done, driving growth and competitive advantage for P&G. A native of Rome, Mr.
Passerini began his career at P&G in 1981 in leadership positions in Europe, Latin America, and the U.S. and was
named vice president, management systems, for P&G North America in 1997 and to his current role in 2008.
He has received numerous awards for CIO Excellence and IT leadership, including the 2008 Shared Services
Thought Leader of the Year and the NASSCOM Excellence in IT award.
KAL PATEL
President, Asia, and Executive Vice President, Enterprise, Best Buy Co., Inc.
Kal Patel leads Best Buy’s current operations in China and Turkey. As president, Asia, he nurtures and guides
Best Buy’s branded stores in Shanghai, helps accelerate Five Star’s growth in China’s tier-two cities, and provides
direction to the company’s fledgling operations in Turkey. Previously Mr. Patel was executive vice president,
emerging growth, leading Best Buy’s efforts to initiate, incubate, and implement global growth opportunities
while increasing the enterprise’s capabilities for innovation. He also focused on building relationships with
venture capitalists to enable Best Buy to learn from the experiences of others and adapt best practices to
advance the company’s business objectives. Mr. Patel joined Best Buy in 2003 as vice president of strategy, and
was promoted to executive vice president of strategy and international in 2005. Before joining Best Buy, he was a
partner at Strategos, and still earlier was with KPMG Consulting and Courtaulds PLC in the U.K.
