Cyriac Roeding leads shopkick Inc., which is focused on bridging the mobile and physical retail worlds.
shopkick’s first mobile application, Cause World, turned into the fastest-growing and one of the largest mobile
retail applications on the iPhone App Store and on Google Android within weeks after launch. Previously,
Mr. Roeding spent a year at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers as an entrepreneur in residence to identify next-generation cross-platform mobile and online venture concepts. He had earlier served as founder and executive
vice president of CBS Mobile. In partnerships with technology startups, he created U.S. industry firsts such as
location-based mobile advertising, mobile video breaking news and sports alerts, and avatar-based mobile
games tied to major TV shows. Before joining CBS, Mr. Roeding was the co-founder of 12snap, a European
mobile marketing and entertainment company. Before that, he developed growth strategies at McKinsey &
Company for global media, software, and high-tech players in Europe and in Silicon Valley.

Richard Rosenblatt, as a serial entrepreneur and Internet visionary, co-founded Demand Media in 2006 and
forever changed how media is created, distributed, and enjoyed. He previously built, operated, and sold
Internet media companies that had a combined value of more than $1.3 billion. As chairman of Myspace.com
and CEO of its parent company, Intermix, Mr. Rosenblatt fully embraced social media in early 2004 and helped
grow Myspace.com to one of the most popular properties on the Internet. He then negotiated the acquisition
of Intermix by News Corp. in 2005. Mr. Rosenblatt founded iMALL, one of the world’s first e-commerce
companies, in 1994, and served as its chairman and CEO until its acquisition by Excite@Home in 1999. He
earned a BA degree from UCLA and a JD from USC Law School.
JASON ROSENTHAL
Chief Executive Officer, Ning
Jason Rosenthal was promoted to CEO of Ning earlier this year from his position as COO, where he was
responsible for business development, marketing, advocacy, and developer evangelism. Previously, he
was vice president of Hewlett-Packard Software’s Business Service Automation product line, the fastest-growing business within HP, through its $1.65 billion acquisition of Opsware, which he joined as the
first employee in 1999. As senior vice president and general manager of Opsware’s server automation
products, Mr. Rosenthal led product development, marketing, and engineering for the company’s flagship
product line that generated $150 million in annual revenue. Before his tenure at Opsware and Loudcloud
(Opsware’s predecessor company), Mr. Rosenthal was director of product management for America Online’s
E-commerce Platform Division through AOL’s $4.2 billion acquisition of Netscape. Mr. Rosenthal holds a BA
degree in history from Pomona College, where he also serves on the trustees board, and received his MBA
from Stanford Business School.

Daniel Roth is the managing editor of Fortune.com, where he oversees all aspects of the website. Previously, he
was a senior writer at Wired; his 2008 cover on Shai Agassi was a finalist for the Loeb business writing award. Mr.
Roth joined Wired in 2007 from Condé Nast Portfolio. Before his four-year tenure there, he was a longtime writer
and editor at Fortune. His stories included tales of the personal battle between Pizza Hut and then-little-known
Papa John’s; a deeply reported look at China’s efforts to become a tech giant; and a profile of the founder of
Bit Torrent (included in 2006’s Best American Science and Nature Writing). In 2005, his story following the creators
of Skype was named Best Story on Entrepreneurship at the Business Journalist of the Year Awards. From 2002
to 2004, Mr. Roth served as Fortune’s technology editor.
